Oat-ly Dreams

BREAKFAST. Oh, holy breakfast. My favorite thing to do. No matter what time I need to get up, I am always hungry and excited for breakfast. And, how to better start your day than munching a beautiful bowl of comfy overnight oats?

INGREDIENTS for 2 bowls:

For your overnight oats:

1 cup of rolled oats

2 cups of milk (plant-based or animal-based, all types are possible)

4 big spoons of Greek Joghurt (or vegan substitute)

2 tsp of Chia seeds

For your topping:

1 cup of fruits: Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, banana (or any other kind of fruit)

2 tbsp peanut butter

1/2 cup of nuts (pistachios, hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.)

3 tbsp honey or maple syrup to drizzle over

1 small piece of dark chocolate.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Ok. This recipe is so simple, I am almost embarrassed sharing it. You simply mix the oats, chia seeds and milk in a container, stir it well, and store it overnight in your fridge.

  2. When the night has passed, you gently stir the mixture to loosen up the rather sticky texture and add some yogurt of your choice.

  3. In case you are a sweet tooth, you might already want to mix some honey or syrup underneath.

  4. Pour the mixture into two bowls.

  5. Next, top your oats with whatever your heart is craving. Is it berries, nuts, grated dark chocolate flakes, banana, peanut butter... simply follow your gut feeling and you won't be disappointed.

  6. Finally, drizzle some more honey or maple syrup over your Oat-ly Dream and lustily dig that spoon in - without regrets! That's basically it. EASY PEASY, right?
